As a son of the collective kibbutz, Mishmar Ha’emek, I record and observe the collective community into which I was born. I look with love, a smile and irony at the gap that exists between the noble and lofty wishes and the daily life that creates a reality different from that dreamed of by the founders of the kibbutz in my pictures. The paradox blossoms in irony, a smile, and a liberating comic relief. My pictures are peppered with love and humor; this is my way of depicting the unique sociological phenomenon of the collective kibbutz.
