The series was created during the COVID-19 pandemic, in a lockdown. I felt as though the forces of darkness had landed on the wings of the COVID-19 pandemic, people closing themselves up in their homes, and everything shrouded in gloom. Once again, my wife prepared a package of sweets to send out our children and grandchildren, wrapping her longing with her handiwork, sending a prayer, a salty tear becoming mixed with the sweets. Every morning I went out to the garden, to nature, to form the sadness inside into different shapes of movement, colors, and light. I always made a point of lifting my spirits with a first picture in a morning of optimism. Nature in all its spectacular beauty full of harmony, change and rejuvenation alluding to hope for the future. Creativity enables the release of emotions, to fix them as the memory of a period.
